Eligibility criteria
Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task
Under the direct supervision of the Youth Program Officer, the National UN Youth Volunteer will:-
• Assist in the preparation of trainings and sessions to be provided for youth volunteers in the area of mental health and psychosocial support.
Assist in identifying 3000 adolescents, focusing on the most vulnerable, in Gaza for adolescent dignity and Psychosocial support kits.
Support development and timely submission of work and progress reports from implementing partners.
Coordinate and follow-up on the project’s youth-related activities, conduct regular meetings with the partners.
Ensure efficient management of financial resources through planning and tracking of available resources, exercising appropriate financial controls and ensuring corporate financial policies are met and reporting structures established and maintained.
Provide technical and administrative support and coordination of the project components.
Facilitate collection of information and data on the project’s youth-related activities: collect and analyze data for monitoring and evaluation purposes and assist in developing financial and narrative for the project; Write monthly brief reports of the activities and share with supervisors.
Ensure coordination with the implementing partner, UN agencies and other stakeholders if/when necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements
Required degree level.
Bachelor degree or equivalent.
Educational additional comments.
University Degree in social and behavioral science, sociology, or other related social science field is required.

Required experience
24 Months

Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to 2 years) in working with youth-led organizations/institutions working on youth issues.
Motivated to contribute towards peace and development and to serve others;
Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;
Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team;
Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;
Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions;
Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and others).

Language skills
English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent.
Arabic(Mandatory), Level - Fluent.
